The Zavaron people, long oppressed by the Bahrulis to the north, and clusters of nation states all around them, revolted during the great famine of Belgar, founding a nation of their own. However, since the land proved to be quite useless for most things, a large portion of the population still acts as cheap labour for their neighbours.
